A message from founders Pete and Sandy Jones:
To us, being well is about helping you be able to do more with your life. Really, it is our interpretation of CrossFit's aim and definition of fitness - increased work capacity across broad time and modal domains, said another way - do more with every aspect of your life. Whether that is to run your first 5K or do more for your community or love your family and friends with more passion.
Your approach to being well should look at the body as an entire system and seek functional strength. In the same way we believe you should view your life as an integrated system. Each relationship, each aspect of your life affects the other.
While your time alive is finite, what is available to you during that time is infinite. We believe the point of life is to maximize your time while here. There are a number of things that we believe are important to maximize. Those being: love, self awareness, full self expression, giving and being adventurous. Being well provides a foundation from which to build to maximize those pursuits. From there, your genius and desires allow you to pursue the rest..
We hope to find something for everyone. If there is a program you would like to see, please let us know.
Pete and Sandy

RUNNING GROUP - CROSSFIT ENDURANCE
Currently on hold until it gets brighter out.
We have a running group that meets twice each week at CrossFit Forest, which is a Certified CrossFit Endurance Facility. Each week, participants will mix it up with short runs, intervals, and mid-distance runs. This approach allows runners and aspiring runners to achieve faster times with less injuries and wear and tear on the body.
People at all levels of fitness and speeds can sign up for this class. Feel free to come and walk, jog, or run -- it is up to you and your comfort level how much you want to push yourself or if you want to go the whole distance. For folks that prefer rowing over running or are injured, all workouts can be performed on the rower as well. This class is free for all employees and their spouses, your friends are also welcome to join us for a $5 drop-in fee.
Endurance classes will start soon. Be sure to check our schedule and to sign up. If you have not yet created an account to sign up for classes, you can go here for your free membership: http://clients.mindbodyonline.com/ws.asp?studio=CrossFitMissionViejo&stype=40&prodid=138

Nutrition Class (btw, it all starts with nutrition)
Nutrition Seminar the last Thursday of the month (except in October, November, and December of 2014 where it falls on a holiday). Check the schedule on the Front Page to confirm times. We go over insights from the book "It Starts With Food." The book outlines a clear, balanced, sustainable plan to change the way you eat forever-and transform your life in profound and unexpected ways. Your success story begins with the Whole30, a powerful 30-day nutrition reset.
Since 2009, their underground Whole30 program has quietly led tens of thousands of people to weight loss, enhanced quality of life, and a healthier relationship with food-accompanied by stunning improvements in sleep, energy levels, mood, and self-esteem. More significant, many people have reported the "magical" elimination of a variety of symptoms, disease, and conditions in just 30 days.
Wellness Walks - (all levels)
Let's get out in the open air! Open to any and everyone. Just getting out in the open air for a walk relieves tons of stress. Did you know our paleolithic ancestors walked on average 11 miles a day? As this class develops, we may offer a 3-6 month "Couch To 5K", depending on your level and motivation.
We currently do not offer walks due to lack of interest. If you are interested in getting started with one, let us know! email@example.com.
Baker Ranch Yoga provides the Yoga services. We have a full schedule.
Taught by an instructor registered with Yoga Alliance RYT-500.
Beginner to Intermediate Yoga
Schedule: check www.bakerranchyoga.com for more detials.
Beginner/Intermediate yoga is the perfect class for students who have never done yoga before, or those who are fairly new to yoga. The class moves at a pace that allows students to begin to understand the fundamentals of body alignment that will lead to greater flexibility in areas of the body that are typically 'tight' such as the hips, legs, and shoulders. The class focuses on flexibility, balance, and using our own strength to create a more relaxed body.

The practice includes dynamic and rigorous vinyasa flow, linking one pose to the next continuously through breath and movement. With a cardiovascular element, these classes offer a challenge for intermediate to advanced students by including poses requiring greater strength, flexibility, stamina and focus. The classes will focus on traditional methods of practice. Thursdays Classes are taught by an instructor registered with Yoga Alliance RYT-500.
Swimming Pool Access
See Front Desk at Pauling Office to check out or reserve a key for one day at a time and location.
When Ready, You may also participate in our regular CrossFit Class and programs. See CrossFit Forest for additional fitness programs, including Barbell and Olympic lifting Club.
We error on the side of caution in all of our CrossFit classes. Slow and steady is the approach. By design, the class is low to moderate intensity. Each class is led by a certified coach. There is a warm up, skill instruction, workout and cool down. We have four levels of difficulty in every class.
